Purpose Of This Site

You may notice a few things different on this site if you have visited us before. Welcome to the new site! While we want to continue warning about things that are happening in broader Christendom we want to shift our focus a little bit more toward home. Specifically some of the beliefs and practices of the Mennonite Church that may be more tradition than scripture. It is my conviction that over the years we have strayed from the Biblical model of a church. That we have and continue to interpret scripture out of context. This has led Mennonites into error, specifically in our understanding of salvation. It is this site's purpose to point out where these views have led and will continue to lead. The Blog will deal with many of these issues. Also there is a Facebook page for this site also, if you follow/like it you will receive updates about new blog posts.

These verses are the theme for this site.

Ephesians 5:11-17

11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.

13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.

14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,

16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

Hopefully this site will remind us that the hour is very late and we need to be ready for the Lord’s coming. Are you sure that you are born again? Are you living for Christ? “And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof” (Rom. 13:11-14).
